The 3rd Side of Love

They say love has two sides.

One that shines like morning light full of warmth, laughter, and promises.

The other, darker filled with fights, silence, jealousy, and the ache of being misunderstood.

But no one talks about the third side.

The side we bury deep inside the side we don’t show.

Where a quiet war rages between the mind that wants to walk away, and the heart that never stops staying.

It’s where words die before they reach the lips. Where care turns into distance, not because the love faded but because it burned too fiercely to handle.

I loved. And yet, I hurt the one I loved the most. Not because they deserved it… but because I didn’t know how to stop the storm inside me.

This is not just my story. This is your story too, if you’ve ever stayed quiet when your heart was screaming. If you’ve ever walked away just to see if someone would follow. If you’ve ever loved so deeply, it started to hurt.

This is the story of the invisible side of love The third side. The side no one speaks of. Until now.

When we say we’re in love, what does that actually mean? Is it a bond we tie? Is it owning someone's feelings? No It’s something far more delicate… far more raw. Love is not about holding it’s about adopting. It’s the art of accepting someone, just as they are, flaws and fears included. It is not caging a heart, but setting your own soul free in theirs.

To love is to give To give without calculation. To care even when you're tired. To stay even when it’s easier to walk away. To be honest when silence could protect you. To stay loyal, even when tested by distance, time, or temptation.

But… is that enough? Is doing everything really everything enough to make someone feel loved?

The answer, as cruel as it sounds, is no.

Because in love, the intention isn’t always visible. Only the impact is felt.

We eat to kill hunger. We drink to quench thirst. And in love… we give with the silent hope that our giving will be felt, not just seen.

That hope that unspoken expectation that becomes the 3rd side of love.

It is the most beautiful… and the most dangerous.

It grows not in the beginning, but in the middle when the roots go deep, when silence begins to speak, when a smile not returned hurts more than words ever could.

This 3rd side… is where the mind loses control, and emotions take over.

It is made when someone starts loving too deeply, feeling everything a little too much.

And when they get hurt they bleed, silently, invisibly.

They won’t scream. They won’t fight. They’ll just… feel everything. Too much. And fall apart, piece by piece.

This side doesn’t demand grand gestures. It seeks understanding.

It watches… who listens without judging. Who stays without asking. Who keeps loving, even when everything feels upside down.

Because the 3rd side of love… tests everything.

It tests loyalty. It tests empathy. It tests patience. And above all, it tests truth.

Those who understand it, stay. They hold your hand through the storm. They love you even on the days you’re hard to love.

And those who don’t… they walk away, not realizing they left a war halfway through.

So if you’re reading this… and you feel like someone’s changed, or pulled back, or pushed you away understand it before it’s too late.

Because once broken, even love forgets how to heal itself.

After all… you’re the one who once called it love.

Don’t let the 3rd side destroy what the first two built.
